Chazy is a town located in Clinton County, New York, United States. Its population is around 4,000 as of the 2010 U.S. Census. The town is named after Lake Champlain's largest tributary, the Chazy River. Chazy is known for its agricultural industry, especially dairy farming. The town is home to several historical sites, including the Chazy Landing and Old Stone Barracks. The northern part of the town comprises the Chazy Reef, which is a geological formation that contains fossils from over 450 million years ago and is recognized as a National Natural Landmark. Chazy is also home to several popular hiking trails and outdoor recreation areas, including Lake Alice and Point au Roche State Park.
